Polish producers present at INA PAACE 2018

The largest motor show in North America INA PAACE Automechanika was successful. Among the 500 exhibitors was the Polish national stand organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).

For three consecutive days from July 11, 2018, the largest motor show in North America was held in the City of Mexico. The current edition of INA PAACE gathered over 500 exhibitors from around the world, whose stands were visited by over 20,000 people. The Polish stand organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency was very popular.

Here, not only trade talks were conducted, but also the potential of the automotive and aviation parts sector was actively presented, including through distribution of industry folders or offers of individual companies, regions, as well as displaying promotional films. However, the most important was the opportunity to obtain expert information, which was provided by, among others, Bartosz Mielecki, managing director of the Polish Automotive Group.

For the needs of journalists, opinion leaders and representatives of individual companies, PAIH organized a press briefing. After its completion, many publications were published in the mass media, not only in industry media, but also in the press, radio and television.

 

Bartosz Mielecki (managing director of Polska Grupa Automotive), Paweł Woźny (representative of the Polish embassy) and Patrycja Staszewska (manager of ZBH Mexico City) talked about the potential of the Polish automotive and aerospace sector

 

Mexico is a very important export destination for Polish manufacturers of automotive and aviation parts. The dynamically developing economy, the huge demand flowing not only from the internal market, but also the close proximity of the largest economies in the world and the still-binding North American Free Trade Agreement, or trade agreements with 45 countries are the main advantages attracting companies from around the world. Polish enterprises are also present on this market. An example is the Boryszew Group, which in Mexico since 2015 produces and supplies air conditioning ducts for Audi and Volkswagen, BURY or Sanok Rubber, a leading manufacturer of car body and anti-vibration seals for shock absorbers, exhaust system, steering and rocker arms. This year, TIP-TOPOL, the largest Polish manufacturer of pneumatic suspension membranes, has also signed a large contract.

 

Poland is one of the largest manufacturers of car parts in the world. Nearly 2,800 companies are registered on the Vistula River, which employs 175,000 people. In 2017, the value of exports of the Polish automotive market amounted to USD 25 billion, which corresponds to 13% of the total value of Polish exports. The main recipients of Polish products are: Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom.
