The International Airshow and Aerospace & Defense Exposition fairs were held at the Avalon airport from 26 February to 3 March. With the support of Australian government agencies and a number of civil sector entities, fair organizers invited international leaders in the field of acquisition of defense equipment, civil air transport, air traffic control, passenger aviation, commercial aviation and aviation technology with special emphasis on Asia and Pacific region.
Air show during the fair
Air shows accompanying the event attract not only people professionally connected with the aviation industry. They are a complement to conversations and meetings and business. They are also an interesting element for visitors from nearby cities.
During the Australian International Airshow Avalon 2019, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency organized a Polish national stand. This stand served the promotion of the Polish aviation sector on the international arena. We offered Polish companies free forms of promotion, including by distributing information materials or displaying promotional films.
This year, the Marshal's Office of the Subcarpathian Region organized for the second time the study tour of entrepreneurs from the aviation sector to the Avalon. Polish companies used the space of the national stand. Eight companies from the Aviation Valley participated in the study tour. The Vice President of the Aviation Valley, Marek Bujny, signed the Declaration of Cooperation with the Australian Defense Alliance - a key cluster of the aviation and defense sector from the Australian state of Victoria in which Avalon is located. This gives high hopes for further effective cooperation of both regions.

At the Polish stand on February 27, at 11:00 was organized a press conference. During the conference, industry expert Adrian Huta presented information on the potential of the Polish aviation industry. Over the entire fair, everyone could learn more about the potential of the Polish aviation industry and obtain information about the offer of polish producers of aviation parts, related products and services from this sector. In the opinion of Adrian Huta: "Once again, AVALON 2019 was a dynamic platform for interaction between the civil and defense industries, the government and the academic community. As an international aviation industry exhibition, the Australian Aviation Fair AVALON 2019 was record-breaking in terms of the number of exhibitors and market days, with many important industry announcements and a significant participation of international OEMs."

As emphasized by Adrian Huta: "Together with Polish entrepreneurs, representatives of the Aviation Valley and the Marshal's Office of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship, we participated in business meetings organized by the Embassy of Australia. Polish industry had the opportunity to present itself as modern and dynamic companies offering excellent development opportunities and a prospective partner for the aviation industry in Australia. I am convinced that thanks to participation in fairs and talks with potential foreign contractors, they will result in tangible benefits for the Polish market of aviation parts in the future."
